Last night i joined Yolande and Neil for supper at a Japanese restaurant inside the Mendana Hotel. On arrival we were welcomed by the waiter and escorted to our table in the VIP room :) there is only one table in this room and it was just for us! Shortly after we were seated we were joined by Yo's boss (Robert) and his brother! They are truly amazing people, and so humble! Soon after we ordered our starters Robert proceeded to pack up and cover the utensils next to him. I was really puzzled by him doing this and then he told me that in Japanese culture, if no other guests will be joining the table you should cover up/remove the spare place mates because it welcomes the devil to come and sit at the table. I found this extremely interesting and thought i would let you guys know :) The food was absolutely amazing! the entire time i had know idea what i was putting in my mouth but, hmmmm it was oh so good!
Today i worked in the scuba shop as Joy and Sam had the day off. i learnt so many new things about pressure and cylinders. i seem to learn something new everyday - I love it :) After work i joined Jamie for a smoothy at Lime lounge and then went and had a few beers at the Mendana Hotel over looking the sea, with the sun setting and a beautiful day coming to an end. Yet again I'm going to have to say good bye to another good friend i have made here on the island. Jamie only has another two days here, I'm really bad at good-byes. I wish you good luck on your journeys and all the best for the future! oh and James, Don't do anything i would do... Which is everything, so don't do anything :p lol... Stay out of trouble mate (o_0)
